Culture for an Ecological Age

Culture for an Ecological Age in São Paulo

The international conference Culture|Futures: Transitions to an Ecological Era takes place in São Paulo on 30 May 2011. Cultural personalities, politicians and experts aim to generate a behaviour change and environmental awareness through culture, stimulating a transition to an ecological age.
EUNIC first vice-president Ana Paula Laborinho will be keynote speaker. International guests will carry out several workshops to share best practices on sustainability. Activities target primarily managers, producers and representatives of cultural institutions, artists in any field, activists, academics and political leaders.
Culture|Futures is an international trans-disciplinary network of collaboration developed at the UN Climate Summit in 2008. The conference is organized on the occasion of the C40 Summit - the meeting of mayors from the world's largest 40 cities to foster projects and public policies against climate change.
The conference is organised by Culture|Futures and the city of São Paulo with Arup, EUNIC in Brazil and Crie Futuros as partners.
